Louise Leigh is living proof that a midlife crisis doesn’t have to involve a Harley Davidson and an underwear model (yet).

Since starting to do stand-up aged 43, she’s performed at The Savoy Theatre (Monmouth), the Palladium (Bideford) and the Bristol Hippodrome (actually a giant theatre so shut up!) as well as some of Britain’s biggest comedy clubs.

She’ll be bringing us some of her trademark "Refreshingly unselfconscious comedy " (**** The Wee Review) in Sex, Drugs and HRT, "a celebration about having reached a certain stage in life and how to negotiate it all" (**** Funny Women).

It’s a personal take on menopause and midlife. She wonders how her generation is handling life now it’s less “dance floor”, more “pelvic floor”, tries to work out whether it’s the hormones (or whether she’s just fed up of carrying other people’s crap) and whether it’s okay to just let yourself become a little untethered, as you reach this transitional stage.
