Mindfulness with Jo Kaye: 1-1 Class

Service Description

Jo Kaye is a full-time mindfulness coach and founder of The Breathe Academy, working with groups, organisations and individually with clients. She has been practising meditation for over 20 years and is a member of the UK Network of Mindfulness Teachers. She has a particular passion for providing the tools to help us skilfully deal with the pressures of 21st-century living and in particular self-care, across all aspects of life. She offers free online meditation sessions which you can sign up for on her website. HOW MINDFULNESS CAN HELP YOU Mindfulness is the opposite of mindlessness. It means waking up out of autopilot and ‘taking the steering wheel’ of our attention again. It can provide us with the tools to learn to become the master, and not the slave, of our minds. We practice mindfulness by maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and the surrounding environment. Mindfulness in menopause is very helpful in helping calm down the nervous system and in doing so can support a restful sleep, boost libido and mood, reduce stress and help with hot flushes and night sweats. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE SESSION In our one hour virtual session together, we will begin with a check in to identify what you're noticing right now. We will identify an area of challenge and then work through this using a mix of meditation, breathwork and discussion.
