Achieving The Menopause Inclusive Workplace Standard of Excellence (MIWSE) demonstrates a serious commitment to wellbeing, equity, inclusion, and belonging, signalling your organisation is a great place to work. Culture drives norms and behaviour. Get that right around menopause and your business and people will continue to thrive.
We understand the profound impact positive systemic and cultural interventions can have on the lives of people, impacted by menopause. We’ve identified five key pillars which we use to assess how your organisation is performing, to generate a report on what you’re excelling in and identified areas for improvement:
The MIWSE is recognised as the highest standard of achievement and means you’ve satisfied our requirements for menopause inclusivity. Our accreditation supports and celebrates progressive organisations and we’re welcoming new members all the time.
We equip your organisation with the knowledge and resources to support employees navigating the challenges of menopause. By fostering a culture of allyship and empathy, you can enhance the wellbeing and productivity of your workforce.
A menopause-inclusive workplace fosters a sense of belonging and affinity among employees. By providing reasonable adjustments and resources, tailored to a range of menopausal individuals, you can increase productivity and reduce absenteeism, flight risk and associated costs.
We ensure that your organisation remains compliant with relevant employment laws and regulations. With training, processes, and systems, you can mitigate grievances and promote a respectful and equitable workplace environment.
By earning MIWSE accreditation, your organisation showcases its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This commitment enhances your brand reputation, making it easier to recruit and retain talent.
Our accreditation process is designed to be straightforward and transparent, guiding your organisation every step of the way. Click on each step to learn more:
Take an online self-assessment to find out how menopause inclusive your workplace is. You’ll receive a report showing performance against our key pillars. You’ll receive an action plan to identify any areas that require attention and improvement. If you’ve met our standard, you’ll be asked to submit evidence before being awarded with a certificate that is valid for two years.
If you haven’t met the standard, you’ll be told which areas need support. You can sign up to one of our Training packages, The Hub, or the MIWSE Resource Library to help you meet the accreditation. Our HR specialists can craft or review policies, action plans and Menopause Passports. Our team of coaches can deliver events or leadership programs.
When you’re ready (within two years of enrolment), you can apply for accreditation. You will retake the online assessment and upload evidence, so we can assess and validate the effectiveness of your menopause initiatives and ensure alignment with the accreditation standards. A follow-up call may be organised to go through your application before sharing results.
Upon meeting our standard, your organisation will receive the MIWSE logo and assets to share to the world, the great job you are doing around menopause inclusivity. The accreditation will need to be renewed every 24 months to remain valid.
