Endometriosis Awareness Month

In March, we shine a light on endometriosis, affecting 1 in 10 people that menstruate, promoting the message that ‘invisible pain is real pain’. Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, commonly on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and surrounding pelvic organs. This tissue responds to the menstrual cycle, and can lead to inflammation, pain, and scarring.

We host virtual workshops, panels, and CrampstaTM period pain simulator trials to foster allyship and empower individuals to share their stories around their menstrual cycle and associated menstrual symptoms. Over The Bloody Moon advocate for better education for women and HCPs, better healthcare support with less waiting times, earlier diagnosis, and effective treatment.

With the support of Hanover Communications, we ran a month-long campaign to raise awareness of the daily impact menstrual health conditions can have for some where pain doesn’t clock off. We spent a day with Crampsta at Kings Cross to raise funds for Endometriosis UK and were grateful for the support of Lacey Martin, Mathilde Barker, alongside Jordan Page and Gwen Crabb who feature in this video.
